PhD evaluating greenhouse gas abatement strategies

The Center for Energy and Environmental Studies IVEM has a fulltime PhD position (38 hours per week) at the
University of Groningen.

Methodological tools for evaluating greenhouse gas abatement strategies for cooling applications

The PhD will develop tools to assess the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions of cooling applications (like air conditioning and refrigerating),
test them in case studies and possibly implement them in software.

The research will build on knowledge and experience from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). It might be possible to provide active support to IPCC meetings.
