Global Event of Rewards/Payment for Environmental Services

The Rewarding Upland Poor for Environmental Services - RUPES project in collaboration with its partners is going to conduct a Global Event of Rewards/Payments for Environmental Services.

This is to move towards sharing all lessons learned and synthesis from the 4-year RUPES implementation in environmental transfer benefit and further exploring market mechanisms for increasing livelihoods of poor communities while at the same time maintaining environmental functions. A number of agendas is designed to meet the objectives of the event.

We are also arranging an ‘information market’ event as a place for projects leaders to present information on their project (5 minutes for each project).

Those willing to use this opportunity should submit one page writing to describe (1) the background, (2) objective and activities, (3) progress and future achievement. We will compile all interested participants and contributors to the event and make selection based on the highest relevance to the theme and objectives of the workshop.
