SENSE Symposium Sensible Water Technology

Posted by: SENSE Administrator on February 26, 2007 11:26:42 AM +01:00

A symposium organised by three SENSE PhD students

12 & 13 April 2007, Wetsus, Leeuwarden

  • Microbiology

  • Municipal waste water treatment

  • Micropollutants

It is clear that global water problems will need to be dealt with. Not only the availability of clean water and safe sanitation for all people is important, but also the implementation of, for example, the Water Framework Directive demands new efforts. This will require the development of new and more sustainable technologies.

The above three themes have been selected to allow more in-depth discussion between participants. The symposium will be organised at Wetsus in Leeuwarden. Wetsus focuses on developing sustainable technologies for water treatment.

SENSE PhD students are invited (particularly those in cores 1 & 4) to submit an abstract for presenting in one of the theme sessions. For abstract submission and further information: sensible@wetsus.nl. Or contact one of the organising PhD students directly: Lucia Hernandez, Ludmila Bereschenko and Tim Hendrickx.

Deadline for abstract submission for an oral presentation: 26 February 2007.
The intention is that the symposium counts as an official SENSE meeting, which can be added to your ITSP.
