SENSE has started a new series of publications in which SENSE PhD students may publish their dissertation (if accepted by the Editorial Board and the Publisher). This new SENSE Series will be dedicated to further the dissemination of excellent and original PhD research with a strong scientific and societal relevance.
The reason for launching this new initiative lies in the fact that PhD research in the environmental sciences deserves to be noted by a large audience and the active role of a professional publisher will contribute to promoting this. Both the research and the researcher will benefit from a good presentation and availability of the work!

Scope of the Series:
SENSE: Studies in Environmental Change seeks to promote an integrated, interdisciplinary understanding of environmental change in terms of the mechanisms that cause it and the consequences (both ecological and societal) that result from it. Such an understanding is essential for sustainable environmental management, nature conservation, and the process of transforming production and consumption.
SENSE: Studies in Environmental Change is dedicated to developing and disseminating high quality scientific results dealing with the interaction and cooperation between the socio-economic and natural sciences of the environment. These results can be applied to practically and critically inform environmental policy.
