WANTED: SENSE Movie Material

Posted by: Renske Terhürne on March 11, 2009 10:05:00 AM +01:00

SENSE goes Hollywood.

In order to make the scientific results of SENSE known to a broader public, the SENSE board has decided to start using short movies about SENSE and its researchers. These movies will be put on the SENSE website and might also be linked to YouTube.

The movies will be made from different angles:
- a short introductory movie about SENSE
- movies about SENSE researchers in the spotlight (e.g. when they have an important international publication or win a scientific prize)
- movies about interesting PhD research(ers)
- very short movies in which SENSE researchers can explain their current research (the so called elevator pitches)

The first project will be the introductory movie and for this we are looking for footage.
So, if you have:
* footage about research (e.g. about lab or field experiments or about environmental issues related to the research) that can be used as part of the introductory movie;
* complete movies about current SENSE research, that can be put on the SENSE website without editing,
* suggestions for PhD students who can present their research in a nutshell in good and understandable English in front of the camera;
* ideas or remarks in relation to the movies;
please contact Johan Feenstra.
