The 23rd Annual Conference of the working group Plant Population Biology of the Ecological Society of Germany, Switzerland and Austria is this year organized by Dutch ecologists and will take place in the Netherlands.
The PopBio meeting is a medium-sized international meeting that has become an exciting forum for scientific exchange among plant population biologists. This year, it will take place in Nijmegen, the oldest city of the Netherlands. The meeting offers two and a half days of interesting talks and posters, great keynote speakers, a conference dinner, and an excursion. Particularly Masters and PhD students are encouraged to attend the meeting, present their work, and become part of the PopBio community.
Scope of the Conference
The scope of the 23rd annual PopBio meeting includes all aspects of plant population biology and related disciplines. We are pleased to announce the following keynote speakers:
• Jessica Metcalf (Princeton U)
• Marc Johnson (NC State U)
• Alistair Jump (U Stirling)
• Martijn Bezemer (Netherlands Institute of Ecology)
• Nicole van Dam (Radboud U Nijmegen).
These keynote speakers will present transdisciplinary perspectives that explore novel research directions in plant population biology. We encourage all contributors to show if and how progress in their studies is facilitated by adopting and integrating approaches from other disciplines.
