How to ensure transparency and understandability of environmental models to assist international negotiations on environmental policy while increasing the model complexity by integrating air pollution, global warming and sustainable development?
Explanation: The model RAINS/GAINS are currently used for international negotiations on new emission ceilings by the European Commission. The model was recently extended to account not only for acidification, eutrophication, smog and human health problems but also for global warming.

Have 2 version of model used. One the closed circuit and the other the wiki way (with the corresponding editorial needed of course) .Involve 'popular' independents (especially but not limited to enviromental and ICT) to turn it into somekind of inclusive hip alternative movement that not only contribute to the relevance of the models made(a.k.a. by the factors included) but also to the simplicity of visualisations so that the common human beings not only understand it but also enflamed to take action via changing their life habits and pressure their governments to think outside the box in actively mainstreaming the holistic human being .If the wiki one fails at least you can use the lesson learnt to the closed circuit one.
