General Linear Models for Ecologists
S012E
Course contents
Ecological data are often complex, with many interacting variables. The most basic tools to analyse such data are "generalized linear models", where generalized means that the techniques can be used for many statistical distributions.

Generalized linear models are therefore used to analyse count data, proportions, survival times, etcetera. The models are versatile and allow you to investigate the relevance of many explanatory variables, which can be either categories or continuous variables.
