PhD Summer School On the way to a low-carbon city – The case of Valencia

Location: Valencia, Spain

This two-week intensive programme focuses on how to address barriers to implement innovative solutions in the multi-stakeholder environment of the City of Valencia, analysing the status quo and challenges of measurement and assessment of green house gas emissions; explore niche solutions/experiments on the micro level (buildings) and integrated systemic approaches.

This Summer School offers a learning-by-doing approach to innovations related to building technologies, sustainable city systems, sustainable mobility, energy efficiency and GHG emissions measurement and assessment applied to the City of Valencia as a port and tourist Mediterranean city. You will work in groups in a real-life setting, consult with innovation stakeholders, discuss with decision makers and be accompanied by coaches that provide guidance and ensure learning outcomes of the School.
