Molecular Diffusion governs the transport of chemicals on small scales e.g. in small pores in soils and sediments, in polymers, in cells and and across cellular boundaries, between different phases across interfaces. It is thus important for toxicokinetics, extraction procedures, modeling etc. This will course will discuss the concept of molecular diffusion and introduce methods for qualitative and quantitative estimation of diffusion.
