This two-afternoon masterclass is designed for individuals working with research, education and outreach activities that deal with complex problems and multiple stakeholders in the quest for solutions to foster transitions to sustainability. It presents a holistic framework for project management that draws inspiration from Australia’s aboriginal people, Living Systems Theory and Deep Ecology. Participants will be introduced to theory and practical tools that favor rapid feedback, build collective wisdom and foster adaptive capacity, enabling creative and positive adaptation of groups and individuals to situations of rapid and potentially chaotic change. After completion, it is expected that the participants will have gained knowledge, competences and motivation to design and co-facilitate processes for change towards sustainability in and with communities as well as have access to information for deepening studies and skilling in this field.
