Abstract:

We evalute the performance of rainfall products derived from satellite and commercial microwave link technologies. We carried out this evaluation mainly for the land surface of the Netherlands. We had also the opportunity to evaluate link rainfall retrievals for the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Overall, we found a good performance of such products, either for the Netherlands or for Brazil, with potential applicability to any other place(s) around the world.
