Abstract:

This study has investigated the ecohydrological dynamics for the dry biogeophysical environment of Tekeze river basin in northern Ethiopia through analysis of the spatial and temporal variability of both past and future climate change impacts on ecohydrological responses using climate and ecohydrological models. Generally, the results show that the spatiotemporal variations in ecohydrological responses were not only affected by past to future climatic change, but also positively influenced by human interventions such as ecological restoration and soil and water conservation practices.
