The transfer of ITSPs from the old to the new website has been done as follows. For SENSE PhD courses the transfer from old credits in ECTS has been done automatically. For all other PhD courses and activities the number of credits mentioned in your ITSP at the former SENSE website have been copied directly to the new website. In some cases the number of credits at the former SENSE website already referred to ECTS (1 ECTS = 28 hours), but in other cases the number of credits at the former website referred to old credits (1 old credit = 40 hours). This means that your ITSP may not reflect the correct amount of ECTS. This needs to be corrected on an individual basis.
Since the transfer of ITSPs from the old to the new system was only partly automatised, we would like to ask you to check your own ITSP, and make corrections if needed. You van do this on the new website. Please resubmit your revised ITSP after correcting it. If you have any questions or remarks, do not hesitate to contact the SENSE education desk (educationdesk@sense.nl).
Please note that some SENSE PhD courses are now credited by the same number of ECTS as formerly by old credits (for instance the mandatory A1 course is now 2 ECTS and was 2 old credits). That is because the A1 course was over-credited in the past (80 hours for a course of three and a half day and a presentation is a little bit to much; 56 hours is still rather generous). The same holds for some other SENSE PhD courses. ECTS Credits for SENSE courses are automatically added. There will be an automatic link with the courses you have followed. There is no need to update credits for these courses.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the credit - ECTS transfer and the transformation to the new website. We are readily willing to answer your questions and to support you in correcting your ITSP and make it up to date. Thank you for your help.
