INVITATION for PhD students to organize a Young Scientist Session at NCGG-6

Posted by: Renske Terhürne on September 7, 2010 09:57:16 AM +02:00
We are looking for enthusiastic PhD students to organize a Young Scientist Session at the 6th international symposium on science, implementation and policy aspects of non-CO2 greenhouse gases (NCGG-6), to be held in Amsterdam, 2-4 November 2011. NCGG-6 aims to remove barriers between policy, industry and science and fosters the dialogue between scientists, engineers and officials in industry and government.

You are free to shape the session according to your wishes, as long as it fits in the NCGG-6 program. The session can include presentations and workshops on new scientific findings, or on what it takes to be a young scientist. Suggestions for the scientific focus of the session include
- Sources and sinks of non-CO2 greenhouse gases
- Atmospheric processes
- Policy implementation
- Integration
- Integrated assessments
- Environmental modeling
- Stakeholder perspectives
- etcetera, etcetera

Your session could include an afternoon program or more and participants could include young scientists, like yourself, or senior scientists.

Your task would be to set up a program and invite participants. NCGG-6 offers you an international symposium of which your session is part, and all facilities you need during the session. SENSE PhD students can earn credits for organizing a session, as part of their A2 assignment.

For details on the program of NCGG-6: see http://ncgg.info/. Or have a look at www.sense.nl/articles/events/6166.

If you are interested in organizing this session, or for questions, please contact us.
