ESP regional conference Latin America 2018: Global changes, ecosystem services and multilateral agreement in Latin America and the Caribbean

Date: 22 October 2018 - 26 October 2018
Location: Campinas, São Paulo, Brasil

Objective: The aim of the conference is to discuss what Latin America and the Caribbean are doing (or not) to reach the targets of the 4 major Multilateral Environment Agreements in the context of ecosystem services.

The benefits that nature offers to humans (ecosystem services) are the link between biodiversity and human well-being and permeate, directly or indirectly, various United Nations Environmental Multilateral Agreements such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (Aichi Targets) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this event, we want to promote the discussion about what the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean are doing to comply with these international agreements from the perspective of Ecosystem Services.
