The global water technology sector is increasingly organized in hubs. The European Water Tech Week 2018 (EWTW 2018) will connect these hubs in Leeuwarden, the United Nations Innovating City for water technology. At this special event, the sector will meet and inspire each other in the innovative climate of WaterCampus Leeuwarden. Innovation, technology, science and policy leaders from companies, universities and governments get together from September 24 to 27, 2018. In the program, the Wetsus annual congress and WaterLink Symposium are connected with each other in synergy. The program features sessions on business, science, policy and international cooperation.
The full program, including all updates and news, is published on the WaterCampus website. A few highlights of each day:
On Monday September 24, we welcome, amongst others, Mona Keijzer, State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, and drs. Dirk Jan van den Berg, Chair of the EIT Governing Board. They will share their views on Excellence in multidisciplinarity. In the afternoon, we shift the focus to Connecting Global Water Tech Hubs, in a program including a pitch-battle for the Water Alliance Innovation Stimulation Award.
Tuesday will be a mixture of science and entrepreneurship, with a high level scientific program. Keynotes will be given by Prince Constantijn van Oranje, StartupDelta Special Envoy, and by prof. Rong Wang, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
On Wednesday the focus is on business, while the morning session also features scientific sessions, including a keynote by prof. Kaijun Wang, Tsinghua University, China. The afternoon is organized around international business cooperation and how water hubs increase business opportunities.
Of course there is much more for you to discover during the EWTW2018; for example on the exhibition and networking floor, during the tours to interesting sites in the area on Thursday, matchmaking, applied science, and much more. Please visit our website for an overview and all the details.
