The conference is expected to assemble guests from around the world: concerned citizens, leaders from citiy and national governments, diplomats, NGO's, hospitals, companies and academia. The 2015 Paris Agreement (COP21) will be on the agenda as will be showcases of sustainable business practices for the greater good of human health and renewable energy.
World Action on Climate and Health Organization (WACHO) is a grassroots movement started in 2019 that has grown to over 30 chapters in various universities in Tanzania and nearby countries. Our goal is to engage young people in climate activism and help reverse climate change -- the biggest crisis of this generation. Please browse our website to meet our team, read our mission statement, and learn more about WACHO's vision.
WACHO is an acronym for World Action on Climate and Health Organization. Thus, WACHO takes an integrated approach to the challenges of climate change and health as not two separate crises, but rather, one complex crisis which is both health and environmental.
Additionally, we are raising interest among students internationally. We have found that our goals are well-supported by these young adults, who perhaps have the most at stake in this climate emergency
