Floods, droughts and climate variability: From early warning to early action
Group: Institute for Environmental Studies, VU University Amsterdam
Promotors: Prof.dr. J.C.J.H. Aerts & Prof.dr. P.J. Ward
The main objective of this project is to improve the understanding on links between climate variability and weather-related impacts of both floods and droughts. In this thesis, this relationship is investigated from global to regional scales, and at different lead times, with the purpose of achieving an impact-based forecast that can guide the implementation of early actions effectively before a potential drought or flood materializes.
By September we will present an overview of SENSE dissertations on this page, with links to the full texts of the dissertations.
