The hydrodynamic and morphological effects of longitudinal training dams in a lowland river have been investigated using elaborate laboratory experiments and field measurements. The focus of this thesis is twofold: grasping the effect of longitudinal training dams on flow patterns and bed forms, and assessing the steering possibilities for discharge division and sediment transport.
By September we will present an overview of SENSE dissertations on this page, with links to the full texts of the dissertations.
