The Environmental Studies Program at Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year teaching post-doctoral position in Environmental Science and GIS for the academic year 2012-13.

As an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) you will be offered regular assessments and participation in training programmes. You will carry out research; supervise PhD and Master students; lecture and coordinate courses and education programs (especially in the Master programme Urban Environmental Management); and initiate, acquire and manage research projects and building up a leading international position.

The UNESCO-IHE Department of Environmental Engineering and Water Technology contributes to the provision of safe drinking water, adequate sanitation and resource recovery within the urban water cycle and broader. The department conducts research, provides post-graduate education and training, and supports knowledge institutions in developing countries and countries in transition. The department consists of three chair groups, namely, Water Supply Engineering, Sanitary Engineering and Pollution Prevention and Resource Recovery, each headed by a professor.
